Spiritual Guidance – Why Is It So Hard To Find?

Spiritual Guidance In A Complex World

Spiritual guidance is a notion that can stir up many feelings and emotions. It is no wonder why. When we look around us, we find war, poverty and human suffering. In addition, technology may make it seem like we have lost our connection to our fellow human beings. We may feel alone and adrift, and have an unshakable sensation that something is missing. We may look to others for spiritual guidance, or we may look to change material circumstances in our lives in an effort to find a sense of fulfillment. Or, we may believe that performing great acts is necessary to achieve spiritual self-actualization.

It is not that these efforts are completely wrong, or that they cannot do some good in one’s life and in the life of others. However, it is often the case that a simple shift in perspective is all that is needed in order to find the spiritual guidance we yearn for. The most profound insights always come from self reflection and introspection, rather than from the advice of others. In addition, the most profound acts are the ones we perform everyday in the service of others.

Spirituality Does Not Require Grandiose Acts

If you want to live a spiritual life, live a life in service to others, and do so every day. No matter what you do for a living, you can always find ways to help others. You don’t need to be rich or have any special skills. You can hold the door open for someone who is having difficulty, you can help them carry their shopping bags, or you can say hello to someone who is lonely. If you have the time, you can find ways to get involved in your community, such as serving meals to homeless people or reading to people who have impaired vision. You can volunteer at a hospital to help people who are experiencing challenging illnesses. You can help tutor children to read, or teach them to draw, or use whatever skills you have to make a difference in the life of others. The point is that you don’t need to go to great lengths to be of service. As the opportunities present themselves, be who you are and do what you know how to do to help others.

You will find that more you help others, the greater the sense of fulfillment you will have. This is the foundation on which to build a spiritual life.

Spiritual Guidance – You Have The Answers Within

No matter which spiritual path you choose to follow, the answers you are seeking are within you. Nobody else can provide you with these. And, nobody knows you better than you know yourself. This is an essential point. When you meditate, you engage in self-reflection. You begin to see more and more clearly those aspects of your personality that are hindering your progress on the path. As difficult as these aspects of your personality may be to face, it is an essential exercise if you wish to progress. The more you engage in this type of introspection, the clearer the answers will become. You will begin to place greater trust in your own intuition, and will be better able to act upon it. You will also find that you make better decisions this way. Even though it may sometimes not seem “logical” to trust your intuition, you will find that when you do, outcomes will be better and will be more consistent with your spiritual needs.

Improve Your Intuition

As you can see, the more you can develop and use your own intuition, the better your decisions will be, and, the more your life will improve. When you take steps to develop your intuition, you will increase the quantity and quality of your spiritual guidance. So what can you do to have better access to this indispensable resource?

spiritual guidance

Meditate

The more you meditate, the more you will engage in introspection. And, the more deeply you engage in introspection the more you will come to trust your intuition. There are many types of meditation available. Whichever one you might choose, make sure you establish a regular schedule for your sessions and that the type and program you choose are sustainable for you.

spiritual guidance

Take Care Of Your Body

Just like you cannot perform at your best in sports when your body is sick, you also cannot be at your most intuitive. Therefore, make sure you eat and drink right, get lots of exercise and sleep and refrain from smoking and drugs. Try to eat and drink unrefined foods as much as possible. In addition, drink lots of clean water. As always, moderation is always key!

Be Of Service To Others

Being of service to others will increase your sense of wellbeing and will help sharpen your sense of intuition. It also allows you to put good energy into the Universe so that you can also receive good things in return. Keep in mind what your unique skills and abilities are and how to put those into service of others.

Engage In Creative Activities That Make You Happy

It doesn’t matter what you do, just find activities that you enjoy and do them often. This could be drawing, painting, crafting, writing, or any other creative activity that brings you joy. This will not only help you, but it will put positive, creative energy into the universe and generate good karma.

Cultivate Patience

Remember that Rome was not built in a day. While some people might be born with a sharper intuition than others, the ability still needs to be developed and refined, sometimes over a period of years. There are many ways to develop your patience. Some include meditating, practicing mindfulness, learning to paint or draw, or even birdwatching.

Therefore, be patient and keep working on it! If you are sincere, success will come.

Do No Harm

The Hippocratic Oath doesn’t just apply to doctors. It applies to every human being. Although we may look around the world and see humans doing harm to each other, we do not need to engage in the same behavior. We can send good energy into the Universe by resolving to do no harm to others. By doing so, we help create peace in the world and remain open for positive energy to come into our own lives.

Spiritual Guidance – Conclusion

As you can see, the source of the spiritual guidance you seek is you. If you live a good life in service to others and work on yourself, it will pay dividends by helping you create the kind of life you want. It is not necessary to make drastic changes in your life. Figure out where you are now. Look no further that your immediate environment to opportunities to start today!

Reiki and Healing

Reiki And Healing

Reiki and healing go hand-in-hand, as you may have heard. After all, most people consider Reiki to be a complementary healing modality. However, Reiki practitioners and masters must always be careful when talking about Reiki in relation to healing. We must never make promises, and we must never say that it is certain that Reiki can heal a specific condition. What we can say is that the sense of well-being that a person feels after a Reiki treatment can create conditions where the body is better able to heal. But why is that? What are the mechanisms that help Reiki promote healing? That is what this article will explore.

It’s All About Energy

The word Reiki literally means Universal Life Force energy in Japanese. When you receive a Reiki treatment, the Reiki practitioner or master channels this energy into your being. Your being takes exactly the right quantity of Reiki, and the energy flows where it is needed. This is a passive process, and you don’t need to actively do anything for it to happen. This is because Reiki is universal and contains innate wisdom. The energy knows how much of it you need, and where it needs to go and what it needs to do. During and after this process, you may notice yourself getting rid of energies that you no longer need. This process can manifest itself in different ways. For example, you might experience an emotional release where you feel the need to cry. Sometimes, people may experience a mild headache, or other symptoms that cause a person to stop, rest or reflect. Sometimes people refer to this as a healing incident. If you have any questions about this, please be sure to speak to your Reiki master.

Reiki also contributes to a greater sense of self-awareness. As you receive Reiki treatments, you may find yourself becoming aware that certain aspects of your life feel off and that you might need to make adjustments. Often, these adjustments will present challenges that eventually contribute to your growth as a person. For example, you may find that you need to end a relationship that is no longer serving you, Or, you may find that you need to change jobs or move your home. Remember that with Reiki, healing happens on all levels of your being, not just the physical. Reiki can help you heal all aspects of your life.

Reiki and Healing – How Reiki Helps

One of the things that makes Reiki so powerful is its effect on the autonomic nervous system. This is the part of your nervous system that is responsible for functions such as your breathing, your heart rate, blood pressure etc. The autonomic nervous system is also responsible for your body entering what is know as “fight or flight”. When you sense danger, this part of the autonomic nervous system increases your heart rate in order to send blood to different organs in your body. This helps supply them with more oxygen. When you constantly feel stressed, or feel like you are in danger, even when you are not, the part of the autonomic nervous system called the sympathetic nervous system is always engaged. This creates unhealthy conditions where your body always has to work overtime to counteract the effects of this process.

There is evidence that Reiki can help your body calm down and reduce stress, then helping your body reduce your heart rate, blood pressure and the feeling of fear or anxiousness. This provides your body with an opportunity to save energy, help it heal from existing issues, and help it fight off new conditions. There is also evidence that Reiki can help improve sleep patterns and enhance the regenerative qualities of a good night’s sleep.

reiki what is it

Reiki – What Is It?

Reiki – What Is It?

Reiki – what is it you might be asking. You can define Reiki as Universal Life Force energy, an energy that is all around us, within us, and in every plant, animal and object. You may have heard the word Reiki used in this context. Or you might be familiar with Reiki is a system of complementary healing or a system for greater self awareness. Reiki is all of these things. That is why receiving Reiki treatments or undergoing the attunement process can be such a profound, life-changing experience.

It is an energy that is endlessly abundant. Therefore, no single person can create it. People can only channel it and attempt to direct it. However, Reiki is also universal intelligence. This means that Reiki will always go where a person needs it most. The results of this can sometimes be quite unexpected. For example, I often see people who are suffering due to a high amount of stress in their life. They come for treatments to help reduce their stress levels, but often there is also an emotional release. People sometimes report remembering experiences that had not thought of for years. The residual effects of these experiences are released, allowing the person to move on with a greater sense of emotional wholeness.

How Did Reiki Start

Dr. Usui

Although Reiki energy has existed since the beginning of time, the system of Reiki healing was developed by Dr. Mikao Usui in the 19th century. Dr. Usui was born in 1865. At a very young age, Dr. Usui began to study at a zen buddhist school near mount Kurama in Japan. Dr. Usui proved himself to be a curious individual early on. He traveled widely and studied a variety of topics, such as psychology and medicine, as well as religion.

In 1922, Dr. Usui was experiencing problems in his work and personal life. He enrolled in a 21 day meditation retreat on Mount Korama to help him in these areas. Most probably Dr. Usui’s meditations took place near a waterfall, and he counted each day with a stone as it passed. Usui was not specifically looking to discover a method of healing, but rather a state of constant peace.

However, it was during this period that Dr. Usui re-discovered Reiki. The Reiki energy entered Dr. Usui’s crown chakra, allowing him to re-discover the Reiki energy. After Dr. Usui completed this retreat, he stubbed his toe while climbing down from the mountain. Upon laying his hands on the toe, the pain immediately subsided. Upon returning to town, Usui stopped for a meal. Usui was able to heal the girl so that the pain went away.

In April of 1922 that Dr. Usui opened his first Reiki clinic in Tokyo. In 1923, the Kanto earthquake hit. Usui began using Reiki to help as many of the survivors as possible, and he began training other Reiki masters using a more formalized attunement process. He also formalized the methods used to perform treatments and also developed the Reiki symbols.

As Reiki’s reputation spread, Dr. Usui outgrew his clinic space, and, in 1925 established a new center outside of Tokyo. During his lifetime, Usui initiated 20 masters, had roughly 2000 students and helped countless others.

One of those masters was Mr. Chujiro Hayashi.

Chujiro Hyashi

Mr. Hayashi was one of the Reiki masters Dr. Usui had trained, and Dr. Usui designated him as his successor. He was a retired naval medical officer, and after Dr. Usui passed in 1925, Mr. Hayashi opened his own Reiki clinic. Mr. Hayashi formalized a lot of the practices that Reiki students continue to learn today, including hand positions for specific ailments. He also made changes to the instruction and attunement process, teaching both levels 1 and 2 in a single 5 day seminar. In 1937, Hayashi traveled to Hawaii and was asked by the Japanese military to provide information that would assist in the attack on Pearl Harbour. Hayashi refused to do so, and was branded a traitor. For that reason, Mr. Hayashi committed suicide in 1940.

Mrs. Takata

Mrs. Takata was the one who was responsible for bringing Reiki from Japan to the west. She was born in 1900 and passed in 1980, so she was as old as the year. She practiced Reiki from 1937, when she received her attunements from Mr. Hayashi, until her death.

Mrs. Takata was born in Hawaii to Japanese immigrants, and her father worked in the sugar cane fields. At 17, Mrs. Takata was already working in the fields, and she married a bookkeeper in the business where she was working. Mrs. Takata’s husband passed away when she was only 34. This left her alone to care for 2 young children.

The stress of having to care for her family alone, caused her physical symptoms, such as abdominal pain, as well as a nervous breakdown. Shortly after this time, Mrs. Takata also experienced a family tragedy when her sister passed away. If this was not enough responsibility to shoulder, she had to be the one to tell her parents of her sister’s death. They had re-settled back in Japan, so Mrs. Takata had to fly there to share the devastating news. After delivering the news, Mrs. Takata went to a hospital and was received a diagnosis of gallstones, a tumor, asthma and appendicitis. Surgery was planned, however, Mrs. Takata chose to visit Mr. Hayashi’s clinic instead.

After assessing Mrs. Takata’s condition, the Reiki clinic arrived at a similar diagnosis as the hospital. Mrs. Takata saw that her progress was impressive, and decided to learn Reiki to continue working on herself. In addition, Mrs. Hayashi asked Mrs. Takata to work at his clinic, which she did, becoming a Reiki master herself. In 1938, Mr. Hayashi acknowledged Mrs. Takata as one of the 13 Reiki masters he had trained.

Mrs. Takata continued to practice Reiki in Hawaii and opened several clinics there. She also took on students, and trained them up to level 2. As Mrs. Takata’s reputation as a healer grew, she began traveling widely and teaching. Mrs. Takata said that she was successful because she gave multiple Reiki treatments to each client, each one often lasting several hours.

Mrs. Takata practiced Reiki and taught students all over the world until she passed away in 1980. It is thanks to her that many thousands of people can benefit from this powerful energy today.

A Focus On The Whole Person

It is important to note that Reiki is a complementary modality that focuses on the whole person, not just the physical. We are more than just flesh, blood and bones. We are spiritual beings with souls in physical bodies. Therefore, issues that manifest themselves as physical ailments could have a wide ranges of causes. Perhaps we feel stressed because of life events, or we are not sleeping or eating properly. Over time, poor habits and stressors can build and show up as physical ailments. This is where Reiki can be of help.

For example, if you are experiencing anxiety or stress, there is some scientific evidence that Reiki can have a positive effect on the autonomic nervous system. Beyond what conventional science has proven, I have seen plenty of anecdotal evidence that Reiki that Reiki can help produce a sense of calm in the person receiving the treatment. People often fall asleep on the table, and it normally only takes a couple of minutes for a person’s breathing to become deeper and more relaxed. This greater sense of peace and relaxation can then have positive effects on the physical conditions you may be experiencing.

In addition, because Reiki can enhance your sense of self awareness, you may suddenly become more aware of habits that are causing you harm. For example, you may realize that the job that is causing so much stress in your life is no longer worth it. I know of many people who have changed jobs after experiencing a Reiki attunement. They went on to choose careers that were more in line with their soul’s purpose.

Reiki Is A System Of Spiritual Development

In addition to promoting a sense of physical, mental and emotional well being, Reiki is also a system of spiritual development. However, it is important to note that it is in no way a religion. Therefore, practicing Reiki, or receiving treatments or attunements will never interfere with religious beliefs or practices. You need not worry that it will interfere in any way with your existing beliefs or religious practices.

Instead, Dr. Usui suggested a set of 5 principles that can serve as ideals in your daily life. These principles are remarkably simple. If you meditate on them each day, they will help guide you when making decisions about how to handle situations as they arise in your life. Check out this article to find out more about the 5 Reiki principles.

can reiki be done remotely

Can Reiki Be Done Remotely?

Can Reiki Be Done Remotely?

People often ask me “can Reiki be done remotely”? The answer is definitely yes. Although you may have experienced an in-person Reiki session while lying on a massage table or sitting in a chair, this is not required to benefit from a treatment. In fact, there is a a Reiki symbol that allows the practitioner to send Reiki energy over any distance. So, it doesn’t matter if you are in Hong Kong and your Reiki master is in London, the Reiki master can use the symbol to send the Reiki over this long distance. It will be just as effective as if you had the session in person.

You should also note that Reiki cannot only be sent over space, it can also be sent over time. Whether the Reiki treatment you are receiving is remote or in person, it is possible to send Reiki to the past or the future. In this way, you can help resolve childhood trauma, for example. Or, you can send Reiki to a future situation, like surgery, or a job interview or an exam, to help improve the chances of success. With Reiki, the possibilities are limitless.

Read on to learn more about how distance or remote Reiki treatments work.

What Is Reiki?

The word Reiki literally means Universal Life Force energy. This energy is universal and is within all of us and in everything around us. It exists in endless abundance, so it will never “run out”. During a Reiki treatment, the Reiki practitioner or master sets their intention to channel the energy. This is all they need to do to set the energy flowing from their hands. The practitioner or master then lays their hands directly on the receiver, or places their hands directly above their body. The receiver remains fully clothed at all times and the Reiki will always go where it is needed. That is why, even though the Reiki master may have their hands over the receiver’s head, the receiver might feel hot, or cold or a tingling sensation somewhere else in their body. In this way, you can say that Reiki also contains an innate Universal Intelligence.

How Do You Conduct Remote Reiki Sessions?

Before the remote session, I normally ask the receiver to send me a photo of themselves. If this is not possible, I will use another surrogate to work on. A surrogate is something that I use to represent the client during the treatment. I normally use a pillow. Other practitioners sometimes use a stuffed animal, or their own thighs, for example.

When it is time to conduct the remote session, I typically call the receive a couple of minutes before the Reiki session is to start. I recommend that they be in a quiet, calm environment with no distractions. Using the Reiki symbol I described above, I connect to the energy of the client.

Like in-person Reiki sessions, a remote session usually lasts one hour. During that time, I remain connected to the client on the phone in case the client needs to tell me something. However, we generally remain on the phone in silence until the Reiki session concludes.

After the session concludes the client and I begin speaking on the phone again. If they feel comfortable doing so, they can share their experiences or ask questions. If I have received any psychic impressions during the treatment, and the client would like me to share them, I do so at that time.

What Are The Benefits Of Getting A Reiki Session Done Remotely?

One of the main benefits of a remote Reiki session is that you get to stay in the comfort of your own home. There is no need to travel to see the Reiki master physically. You also have the freedom of selecting the Reiki master you feel most comfortable with, no matter where in the world the Reiki master is.

Other benefits may include:

  • Better control of anxiety
  • Increase self-awareness
  • Less stress
  • Possible improvement of physical conditions
  • Help in resolving karma
  • Help resolving issues on the mental and emotional levels
  • Help managing the effects of depression
  • Helping the body strengthen its own powers of immunity

What Will I Feel During A Remote Reiki Session

Most people report feeling the same sensations as they feel during in-person sessions. You may experience heat or tingling in different parts of your body. You may also experience a sensation of cold. Some people report feeling the location of the practitioner’s hands. And just like during in-person sessions, you may have an emotional release, where you feel it necessary to cry. If this happens, it’s ok. It is simply the body releasing energy that it no longer needs.

If you experience these sensations, and you feel the need to talk about them as they are happening, be sure to let me know when we are on the phone. Or, we can also discuss after your Reiki session. I always remind clients that whatever happens during a Reiki session is what needs to happen. There is no right or wrong experience.

Conclusion

As you can see, there are many potential benefits to having a distance Reiki session. Take you time and find the Reiki master who you feel you resonate with. Be sure to ask them any questions you have to help you decide whether a remote Reiki session is right for you.

As always, nothing in this article is intended as medical advice, or to treat or cure any medical condition. When receiving Reiki treatments, continue the treatment you are receiving from your licensed medical profession. Also, continue any prescription medications you might be taking.

can reiki help fibromyalgia

Can Reiki Help With Fibromyalgia?

Can Reiki Help With Fibromyalgia?

Can Reiki help with fibromyalgia? Reiki may be able to help with fibromyalgia, a condition that still remains somewhat of a mystery. In fact, People with this condition are often misdiagnosed as having other conditions.  Doctors are not sure exactly what causes fibromyalgia, but those who have it typically experience widespread pain throughout the body. Their muscles, ligaments and tendons might feel tired. There is also often a disruption of sleep patterns, and there may be tenderness in specific areas of the body.  There may even been problems with one’s memory or moods, or they may experience anxiety. Headaches are also common among those suffering from fibromyalgia. As you can imagine, these symptoms can cause serious life challenges on daily basis.

Sometimes, people notice these symptoms starting after a specific event or injury. Other times, the onset is more gradual and appear over time. Overall, fibromyalgia affects more women than men.

Often, people with fibromyalgia, experience other conditions, such as depression, chronic fatigue syndrome, thyroid issues, Lyme disease or chronic neck or back pain. They may also experience a sort of brain fog where they experience difficulty thinking. Any or all of these symptoms might get worse when the person is under stress, in humid areas, or takes part in physical activity.

What Is The Impact Of Fibromyalgia On Quality Of Life?

As you can imagine, people with fibromyalgia often experience a lower quality of life. This condition can lead to a greater instance of hospitalization, greater chances of experiencing depression, higher mortality rates and higher rates of other conditions, such as rheumatoid arthritis.

What Causes Fibromyalgia?

Doctors and researchers are not sure what causes fibromyalgia, but it seems to be linked to sleeping habits and/or stress. The origin of the condition may also lie in the endocrine system, or in the immune system. There is also some evidence that that certain viral infections, family history and obesity may play a role.

How Can Reiki Help Fibromyalgia?

There are several ways in which Reiki may be able to help improve the health of people with fibromyalgia. These include:

  • Stress reduction: Doctors know that fibromyalgia may be exacerbated by stress. In addition, people with the condition may experience an increase of emotional issues. Reiki’s capacity to induce a feeling of relaxation and stress may therefore help improve the condition.
  • Energy balance: Any condition can be linked to the balance of energy in one’s being. These imbalances can affect every level of one’s being, including the mental, emotional, spiritual and physical. When the Reiki master or practitioner channels the universal energy, this helps rebalance the energy of your being. This could lead to an improvement in symptoms.
  • Better sleep hygiene: It is well known that poor sleep hygiene can contribute to energy imbalances in the body. Thus, it can lead to a decline of health. People with fibromyalgia often experience sleep problems. Reiki can help restore healthier sleeping patterns by making you feel more relaxed. This can allow the body to use its own healing power and lead to improved health.
  • Greater spiritual awareness: As a spiritual system, Reiki offers the possibility of greater self and spiritual awareness. For example: if you receive Reiki attunements, and/or reflect on the 5 Reiki principles, you may become aware that some of your behaviors are contributing to the aggravating factors of fibromyalgia. Perhaps this will lead you to go to sleep earlier, or eat a more natural diet, or exercise more. You can reap many benefits by becoming more spiritually aware and taking greater control of your health.

What Are Some Conventional Treatments For Fibromyalgia?

Once fibromyalgia has been diagnosed, some typical treatments include physical activity, exercise, and stress relief. Many people try yoga, meditation or other relaxation methods. Your doctor may also prescribe medication, like muscle relaxants, anti-depressants or other types of medications. These treatments are often at least partially successful with some patients, but many others continue to suffer from the effects of fibromyalgia. That is why they often seek complementary treatments, such as Reiki.

Conclusion

In the United States, roughly 4 million people have fibromyalgia. It is a difficult condition to diagnose, and often, finding the right treatment takes time. After doing your research on Reiki, you might decide to try it in order to seek relief. As I have written about, there is no danger in trying Reiki. It is a gentle, complementary modality that help your body return to a better state of health.

Is is always the case, Reiki should not replace the care of your doctor or licensed medical provider. You should continue any treatments that have already prescribed. Nothing in this article is intended as medical or advice, or to diagnose or treat and medical condition.

can reiki help with tinnitus

Can Reiki Help With Tinnitus?

Can Reiki Help With Tinnitus?

Can Reiki help with tinnitus? This is the question you may be asking yourself. If you have tinnitus, a persistent ringing or buzzing in the ears, you probably already know that it can be a challenging condition to manage. The fact that there is no cure for tinnitus, leads many people to seek complementary means for helping the condition. For this reason, many people do turn to Reiki to find relief from tinnitus. There have been many success stories. However, it is important to note that although there have been some studies on Reiki, any evidence regarding how Reiki can help with tinnitus is anecdotal.

In this article, we will look at some of the causes of tinnitus, and how Reiki may be able to help.

What Is Tinnitus?

Tinnitus is a persistent buzzing, ringing or roaring sound in the ears when there is no outside stimulus. In other words, it sounds like something is making a noise, but the noise has no outside source. It may be either constant or intermittent, and the intensity of the noise may vary. The condition may also be temporary or permanent. There may be any number of causes of tinnitus. Regularly listening to music at elevated volumes, ear wax, and age all may be potential causes. According to the Mayo Clinic, other factors such as hearing loss, ear infection or blockage of the ear canal, head or neck injuries or taking certain. types of medications may also be causes of tinnitus. TMJ may also cause tinnitus.

People who have tinnitus may experience a number of effects due to the condition. For example, they may become depressed or frustrated. They may also experience anxiety, poor concentration or sleep problems. Some people may also experience a significant amount of emotional or mental distress because of the perceived noise.

It is very important to see a doctor as soon as you suspect that you might have tinnitus. Once a doctor has diagnosed tinnitus, you will be able to seek treatment.

What Are Some Conventional Tinnitus Treatments?

Conventional tinnitus treatments may include hearing aids, sound therapy, medication or other types of treatment. Some other treatments that people with tinnitus may use include running a white noise machine, or turning on home appliances. Doctors sometimes also advice patients to sleep with their heads propped up. In addition, there are also some studies that have found that using nutritional supplements, such as B12, may help.

On a psychological level, many patients find that counselling also helps them live with the condition. Some try cognitive behavioural therapy, which holds that our thoughts affect our actions. Helping people with tinnitus change their thoughts may also help them act differently in order to reduce anxiety or depression. Sleep hygiene may also play a role. The more high quality sleep we get, the better able we are to maintain a healthy immune system and remain healthy in general.

Some of these treatments may offer some relief to some patients. Others prefer to seek out complementary modalities, such as Reiki.

What Is Reiki?

If you have already been doing research, you already know that Reiki is a Japanese word that means Universal Life Force. When performing a treatment, the practitioner or master channels this universal energy through their hands. The recipient pulls the energy into their being. There is nothing that you need to do to make this happen. All that is required is for the practitioner to have the intention to give a Reiki treatment.  The energy then flows where it is needed, and always in exactly the right quantities.

During the treatment, the recipient remains fully clothed, and the practitioner or master keeps their hands above the body, or touches the recipient’s body lightly. In this way, Reiki is different from massage, as the practitioner does not physically manipulate the muscles. In fact, Reiki is a completely no-risk modality. There is no danger of any side effects or that Reiki with exacerbate the condition.

As energy workers, we believe that many conditions originate as energy imbalances before they manifest as physical symptoms. By restoring the balance of energy, it may be possible to help the symptoms of tinnitus. Reiki focuses on your entire being instead of just on masking the specific symptoms. By promoting relaxation and reducing stress, we awaken the body’s own healing capacity. We believe that this can lead to a possible reduction in the symptoms of tinnitus.

Why Can Reiki Be Effective?

According to The Hearing Institute, there are several aggravating factors for tinnitus. These include stress, loud noise, diet, allergies and ear wax buildup. While Reiki cannot fix a poor diet or reduce loud noise, stress reduction is where Reiki can really excel as a complementary modality. Many of my clients experience a state of deep relaxation during a treatment. They begin breathing deeply only several minutes into the treatment. Often, they will then fall asleep on the table.

During this state, the body’s production of stress hormones is lowered and this promotes a state of overall well-being. The effects of the fight or flight reaction dissolve, and a sense of well-being and balance re-emerges for the receiver.

While results can vary, many people do report a reduction in the symptoms of tinnitus. In some cases, this reduction has been significant. Stress reduction alone may not be enough to eliminate tinnitus, but it is often associated with an overall improvement in life quality among people dealing with the condition.

Conclusion

No matter which modalities you try, it is important to note that Reiki, or any other complementary modality, is not a replacement for treatment by your doctor or any other licensed healthcare profession. Nothing in this article should take the place of medical advice from a licensed doctor. When receiving Reiki treatments, if you have tinnitus, you should continue with any conventional treatments you are also receiving. It is also a good idea to inform your doctor that you are receiving Reiki treatments, so you can work together to develop a comprehensive treatment plan.

is reiki good for anxiety

Is Reiki Good For Anxiety?

Is Reiki Good For Anxiety?

One of the questions I receive most frequently is “is Reiki good for anxiety”? It is good to know that Reiki is definitely good for anxiety. In fact, anxiety is one of the conditions that Reiki most often helps. This is especially important because because anxiety is so common today. In fact, estimates indicate that anxiety affects almost 20% of the US population.  During sessions, I often see that the immediate effects of Reiki. A person often comes in anxious about a particular event, or simply as the result of everyday life. They make themselves comfortable on the table and they begin to show signs of calming down almost immediately. For example, their breathing gets heavier and deeper, or they might even fall asleep on the table.

Not only are Reiki treatments good for anxiety, Reiki attunements are also excellent for getting back in touch with your higher self. Just like Reiki treatments, attunements help us rid ourselves of energy we no longer need. Attunements often take us down new paths in life, opening up new opportunities to move on from situations that are making us anxious.

But why is it that Reiki can be so effective in these cases? What is anxiety? Why is it so harmful and why can Reiki be such a powerful help? Those are the questions we will explore in this article.

What Is Anxiety?

Anxiety can be characterized as a feeling of apprehension about the future. But it is more than just a passing emotion. Rather, it is something many people experience regularly, or even constantly. You might feel worried or tense, and these feelings can manifest themselves in physical symptoms, such as a rise in blood pressure. You may also find that you break out in a sweat, experience heart palpitations or feel dizzy.

There may also be more persistent effects. For example, you might have difficulty sleeping, you might experience stomach problems or have indigestion and your rate of breathing may increase. Over time, these factors can, of course, have further negative impacts on your health. Lack of sleep, difficulty digesting your food, and irregularities in your breathing can cause many other conditions. That is why it is some important to properly manage your anxiety.

Reiki can help you replace these feelings with a greater sense of peace, which can have only positive effects on your overall health.

Reiki And The Autonomic Nervous System

The autonomic nervous system (ANS) is the part of our nervous system that is responsible for the functions that we do not control. It is the part of the nervous system that is responsible for the “fight or flight” reaction when we face danger. There are two parts of the autonomic nervous system: the sympathetic and the parasympathetic. When you face a stressful situation that causes anxiety, the sympathetic nervous system kicks in and releases hormones that raise your heart rate and blood pressure. That is why being in a prolonged state of anxiety can cause health problems like heart issues and high blood pressure. It is the parasympathetic nervous system that helps your body record from this state.

There was a small, preliminary study conducted by Nicola Mackay in 2004 which indicates which seems to indicate that Reiki does have an effect on the autonomic nervous system. Factors measured in the study include subjects’ blood pressure, heart rate, and breathing rate. It also measured the rate of parasympathetic nervous system activity. There were three groups of participants: those who received rest and Reiki treatments, those who received rest and a placebo treatment, and those who received only rest. The Reiki group showed a significant drop in diastolic blood pressure and an increase in parasympathetic activity. It also showed a significant decrease in breathing rates in both the placebo and the Reiki groups. The study concluded that the reduction of breathing rate in both groups could have been linked to factors other than Reiki. You can read the complete study here.

How Many Reiki Reiki Sessions For Anxiety?

As a general rule, I recommend doing 4 Reiki sessions to start when you’re receiving Reiki for specific issues. However, if you are constantly exposed to stressful situations, more Reiki sessions may be needed. In more difficult cases, I would also recommend some strategies for reducing the occurrence of stressful situations. Ideally, you should eliminate them entirely. For example, if a particular job or relationship is the source of your anxiety, you might consider leaving the relationship or the job, if possible.

When I work with clients, Reiki sessions are always combined with a psychic reading. During the reading, we are often able to pinpoint the source of the anxiety, as well as strategies to reduce or eliminate it. In addition to talking to your Reiki master, it is important to use your own intuition when deciding how many sessions you will need and the best course of action.

Reiki Attunements For Anxiety

Another way in which Reiki may help anxiety is through the attunement process. It is during the attunement process that you become a channel for the Reiki energy and begin to work with the energy in order to help yourself and others. If you are Reiki Level 1 practitioner, you have everything you need to do Reiki on yourself and others. You are also able to do Reiki on plants, animals and objects. You may consider becoming a Reiki practitioner if you want to give yourself Reiki on a regular basis to help manage anxiety. In addition, many people who become attuned to Reiki experience many positive changes in their life as the result of the veil between the person and the energy being lifted. If you are considering becoming a Reiki practitioner, please feel free to reach out to me if you have any questions.

How The Reiki Principles Can Help Anxiety

So how can you use Reiki to help anxiety? Well, remember that Reiki is not only a complementary modality, it is also a spiritual system, and a system for greater self awareness. In addition to regular Reiki treatments, I suggest meditating on the 5 Reiki principles. As you do so, you will discover the unique meaning they have for you in your life. It is important to note that your are not required to follow these principles. You can use them as a set of guidelines, as ideals that can serve as signposted on the road towards self improvement,

Here are the 5 Reiki principles:

  • Just for today, I will not worry.

When you worry, you anticipate the future and think about hypothetical events. When you worry excessively, you can become anxious, and this can affect many areas of your life. It can also adversely affect your overall health.

  • Just for today, I will not anger.

Under certain circumstances and for a short time, anger can be a positive emotion. For example, when we see injustice in the world, it might motivate us to help others. Feeling angry might also cause us to engage in self reflection to determine the cause of the anger, to express our emotions in a positive way, and find a constructive resolution to the root cause. The key here is that anger should be directed to positive ends.

However, excessive, uncontrolled anger can impact ourselves and those around us in less than positive ways. This is because anger directly affects the autonomic nervous system. Therefore, it can raise our blood pressure, cause increased adrenaline and noradrenaline production, and make our muscles tense. So, when you feel yourself getting angry, take a few deep breaths, close your eyes and remember this Reiki principle.

  • Just for today, I will be grateful.

Too often, our mind wanders to all the things we wish we had, but don’t. We think, “If only I had a better car, a bigger house, or more money”! But wishing that things were different than how they are can lead to anxiety. It is not that we should not aspire to better things and work towards attaining them. Rather, we should take joy in and be thankful for all that we have already attained and be grateful to the universe. By doing so, we plant the seeds in the universe to attract even more wonderful things. Take a look around you each day, and notice all of the things you have to be grateful for, and send those thoughts of gratitude into the universe. You may be surprised to find that thinking such thoughts gives you a greater appreciation for everything you value.

  • Just for today, I will do my work honestly.

Doing one’s work honestly means working hard according to one’s own ability, and in most cases, you may find that the harder you work, the luckier you get. This ideal means sharing your gifts with humanity, and letting your unique light shine brightly. If you do your work honestly and work hard, you can bring more of who you are to more people. You can help more people that way, and raise your vibration and the vibration of those around you. The more people you help, the busier you are in service of others, greater the sense of satisfaction you will have the less anxious you will feel.

  • Just for today, I will be kind to every living thing.

Remember that all living things are connected. The kindness and compassion you show has a ripple effect on humanity and every on every living thing.

Being kind means allowing every living thing the space to be itself without imposing your will. It means being non-judgemental and recognizing that all people, animals and plants have their place in the world, even though we might not see it at the moment. Practice being kind and notice your anxiety decrease.

Conclusion

As you can see, Reiki can be an effective way to cope with anxiety. If you have questions, talk to your Reiki master about the number of sessions needed in your case. Also discuss the impressions and sensations you may receive during and after treatments.

As always, I encourage you to continue any treatment you are currently receiving from you licensed medical provider. Reiki is a complementary modality, and not intended to replace the care you receive from licensed medical providers.

is reiki dangerous

Is Reiki Dangerous?

Is Reiki Dangerous?

If you have never experienced a Reiki treatment or attunement, you might be asking yourself whether Reiki is dangerous. For reasons we will see, Reiki can only be dangerous to your physical health if you use it to replace the care of a licensed medical provider. But I can also understand if you worry that Reiki could be dangerous to your sense of spirituality. Or, if you follow a specific religion, you might have a concern that Reiki will be opposed to it. Furthermore, you might wonder whether the Reiki practitioner will impose his or her concept of God or spirituality on you.

For those unfamiliar with Reiki, I can well understand those concerns. However, I would point out that these worries are not unique to Reiki masters. They can arise when dealing with any professional or human being in any number of circumstances. None of us should force our beliefs on anyone, or interfere with anyone else’s spiritual path. It is my personal belief that Reiki is no different and that a good Reiki master will never impose his or her beliefs on others.

In this article, I address some of the most common concerns you might have about Reiki treatments or attunements.

Is Reiki A Religion?

Reiki is not a religion. Rather, Reiki is a system of spiritual, mental and emotional healing because it works on all of those levels. Because Reiki is not a religion, it includes no creed or dogma, and it does not require faith in order for it work. Reiki is a universal energy that has always existed and will always exist, regardless of whether a person believes in it. In this way, it is similar to the air we breathe, or to the trees and plants we see around us. Reiki is simply part of nature.

Just like the trees or the birds do not interfere with a person’s faith, neither does Reiki. However, Reiki masters and practitioners are imperfect human beings just like anyone else. Therefore, it is certainly possible for a Reiki master to bring up religion or religious practices during a Reiki session. It is also possible for the practitioner to draw on elements of his or her own faith when speaking to client. In my opinion, the Reiki master must tread carefully here to avoid imposing on someone’s beliefs. Unless a person is asking for spiritual guidance, it is my personal belief that the topic should be avoid.

As you can see, it is not the system or energy of Reiki itself that risks imposing on a person, but fallible human beings. For this reason, my recommendation would be to choose a Reiki master who is compatible with you. This is no different than choosing a doctor or other professional, or even a friend.

But Don’t The Five Reiki Principles Make Reiki A Religion?

No. The five Reiki principles do not make Reiki a religion. These principles were suggested by Dr. Mikao Usui, the founder of Usui Reiki, as part of a system for greater self awareness and spiritual development. Every Reiki master or practitioner, every recipient of Reiki, is free to live by these principles or not. They do not constitute a religious dogma or creed. Rather, I see them more as a set of ideals that serve as sign posts as we live our lives each day. For example, if I find myself beginning to entertain thoughts of worry, I remember the first ideal. That helps me set aside my worry and live more in the moment.

As a reminder, the five Reiki principles include:

  • Just for today, I will not worry.
  • Just for today, I will not be angry.
  • Just for today, I will do my work honestly.
  • Just for today, I will be grateful.
  • Just for today, I will be kind to every living thing.

You are always free to live by these principles if you wish, or not.

Is Reiki Dangerous Because It’s Superstitious?

Because we cannot see Reiki with our eyes, I can understand the concern that the belief in Reiki is superstitious. However, consider what happens when you use a microwave oven. You put the food in and turn it on. You may see the light go on, and hear the noise the oven makes, but you can’t see the microwaves. But, when you take the food out of the oven, it feels hot, it smells good, and you can see that it was cooked. You can see the effects of the microwaves, even though you can’t see them. The same is true for Reiki. You might not be able to see the energy, but you may feel a tingling sensation, or hot or cold, or you may feel much more relaxed than you did before the treatment. You might also even feel more profound physical, mental or emotional effects.

A superstition is an unjustified belief in something. Because Reiki requires no belief, and no faith, and because its effects are apparent even if you can’t see the energy, Reiki is neither dangerous, nor based on superstition.

Is Reiki Dangerous Because It Draws On Supernatural Powers?

It should be clear by now that Reiki does not draw on any supernatural powers or forces to heal. Because we Reiki is found in everything and everyone, Reiki uses the body’s own resources to heal. Much in the way that one does not draw on supernatural powers when one drinks a glass of water to stay healthy and hydrated, no supernatural powers are at work when giving or receiving Reiki. In this way, Reiki should be understood as a completely natural energy, rather than a supernatural one.

Do I Need Help From Guides For Reiki To Be Effective?

No help from guides, or any other spiritual beings is needed in order for Reiki to be effective. Reiki is all around us in abundance. The series of attunements that the master or practitioner undergoes is sufficient for the Reiki to begin flowing. The intention to channel Reiki begins the flow of Reiki from the master or practitioner to the recipient. No additional help is required for the treatment or attunement to be effective. Therefore, no belief in spirit guides is needed to benefit from Reiki.

Are There Any Physical Side Effects?

You need not worry about any physical side effects of Reiki. Unlike other complementary modalities, such as massage, Reiki can be done without any physical contact between the practitioner and the recipient. So, there is no danger of bruising, or muscle or skin injuries. In some cases, you may experience what some people call a healing incident. This can happen when your being rids itself of un-necessary energy after receiving a Reiki treatment. Some people report some stiffness or some minor aches. These symptoms are typically minor an disappear within a couple of days at the most. You may also experience a healing incident at the emotional level, where you feel you emotions more intensely, or you may even have the urge to cry as part of the cleansing process. It is important to listen to your being and to provide it with what its asking for. As long as you are not using Reiki as a replacement for the care and guidance of your medical professional, it is completely safe!

Is Reiki Dangerous Because It Is Not Proven By Science?

Remember that you should not use Reiki as a replacement for conventional medical treatment, but rather as a complement to it. In other words, you should continue with any treatments that you are currently receiving and that has been proven effective by today’s science.

In addition, there have been a small number of studies on the effectiveness of Reiki. I would encourage you to check out this study, for example, on the National Institutes of Health website on the effectiveness of Reiki. This article discusses whether complementary modalities in general are evidence based.

Although the effectiveness of Reiki has not been proven by today’s science, the National Institutes of Health states that Reiki does not have any harmful side effects.

Can Reiki Make Me Do Something I Don’t Want To Do?

If you are wondering whether Reiki is dangerous because it can make you do something against your will, the answer is no. Reiki can never make anyone do anything against their will. You cannot use it to cast spells, and you cannot use it to make anyone do anything they don’t want to do. If someone tries to use Reiki in that manner, it simply won’t work. In fact, one of the primary responsibilities of a Reiki master is to ensure that he or she always has the recipient’s permission before starting a treatment. If a person comes to the practitioner’s office for a treatment, that is considered proper permission to do the treatment. If the practitioner is doing a distance treatment and the recipient is not physically able to give their permission, the practitioner must ask the recipient’s higher self before proceeding. Simply put, it is impossible for anyone to exert any control over you by using Reiki.

Is Reiki Dangerous Because It Comes From Another Person (The Reiki Master)?

Reiki is a universal energy is within us, and in everything around us. Therefore, when the Reiki master or practitioner channels the energy, they are not creating it by their own efforts. They are only channeling what is already there. The recipient simply draws the energy from the practitioner’s hands and into their own being. This is a completely passive process and requires no effort on the part of the recipient. In any case, Reiki is not dangerous because no person produces or generates it. It is only channeled and then it flows where it is needed.

Conclusion

As you can see, Reiki is a safe, simple complementary modality. Ultimately, it will be up to you to do your research to determine whether Reiki is right for you. I would be honored to answer any questions you may have. Let me help you on your healing journey!

reiki with psychic readings

Reiki and Psychic Readings

Reiki And Psychic Readings

Why are Reiki and psychic readings such an effective combination? If you have practiced Reiki, or have received a Reiki treatment, you may know that psychic experiences often happen during treatments. There are many reason for this. Of course, Reiki produces a sense of calm in the person receiving it. You may even find that you doze off to sleep during the treatment, or that you even experience the sensation of leaving your body. You may also simply feel a much greater sense of calm. All of this is because during a Reiki treatment, we become much more receptive to psychic energy. The person receiving the Reiki treatment becomes easier to read, and person reading is better able to access their subconscious, and interpret the symbols they receive.

Reiki Benefits Both The Practitioner And The Recipient

Did you know that the Reiki master or practitioner also receives a treatment when they are giving Reiki? Remember that Reiki is universal energy, so the person providing the treatment is only a conduit. This is why the Reiki master does not become drained, as is often the case with other healing modalities. Just as is the case with the recipient, the Reiki master also benefits from a greater sense of calm and decreased resistance to messages from the subconscious. This makes it much easier for the Reiki master to interpret and communicate psychic impressions.

Increased Self Awareness

In previous articles, I have written about enhanced self-awareness as one of the major benefits of Reiki. This is very important because it helps awaken your inner master. You inner master is the aspect of yourself who knows you best, and who knows everything about your being. Often, information communicated during a reading will encourage you to take actions that can help you realize your soul’s purpose. Perhaps fear has been preventing you from acting. Or, it may be conditioning you experienced during your childhood.  Whatever the source of the blockages, encouragement from the spirit world may be all that is required to move past the fear and take positive action. Once you take positive action, and experience a good outcome, this can help you move past the fear in similar future situations and trust your own intuition.

Reiki and Psychic Readings For Better Health

If you are experiencing stress or have aches, pains or other physical conditions, you do not function at your best on any level. Your entire being is impacted, physically, mentally, emotionally, and spiritually. Many times, information that comes through during readings can help you achieve better health. Of course, we always begin with a Reiki session, which has a positive effect on your nervous system. This alone can help with many conditions. During the session, impressions may come through in regards to current diet, or mental or emotional factors that may be preventing you from feeling your best. This information can help you know when it’s time to follow up with your doctor, or take additional measures.

As I have mentioned in previous articles, I am not a doctor, and the information that comes through during readings and Reiki sessions is intended for informational purposes. It is not intended to replace the care of qualified medical practitioners. Always follow up with your doctor.

Life Information

In addition to the information mentioned above, it is also possible that other information comes through during readings that can help you in your life. For example, names of important people, astrological signs, guidance to help you remain safe, or work or school related information. Sometimes, information regarding past lives will also be presented, if it relates to your present life. It is important to always come with some questions in mind that you would like to have answered. Often, the questions that are at the top of your mind are the ones I answer. You may not even need to ask them out loud. During the reading part of the session, we might look at the tarot cards, or I might ask you to hold an object, such as a key, to tune into your vibration. This is called psychometry. Or, I may simply read your energy without using cards or any other tools.  However we do your reading, it is important to realize that the energy always comes from the same source.

How To Get The Most From Your Session

Here are some suggestions to get the most out of your session.

  • Wear comfortable clothes.
  • Refrain from taking intoxicants for a least 24 hours prior to your session.
  • Turn off your cell phone and eliminate any other possible distractions during the session.
  • During the session, do avoid giving me too much information, but if something makes sense, please do give me a “yes”, so I know that the information is making sense.
  • Reiki is highly effective for a wide range of conditions, but remember that you still need to take responsibility for your health. For example, you might receive Reiki because you have bronchitis, however, you should also stop smoking if you smoke!
  • Come with an open mind. Reiki is universal energy and universal intelligence. It goes where it is most needed. So, you may physically be experiencing headaches, for example, but feel an emotional release of past trauma. The root cause is often something we may not expect.
  • In the days following your session, you might want to keep a journal and jot down your experiences. You might notice a range of sensations, including an emotional release, changes in dream patterns, psychic impressions, or various physical sensations. This is because your being is shedding the energy it no longer needs. There is a clearing taking place. Taking note of these experiences can help you process them more easily and ensure that they will ultimately contribute to your spiritual growth.
  • Always continue the care you are receiving from your doctor or other licensed medical professional.

Conclusion

Receiving a Reiki treatment with a psychic reading will be an uplifting experience that will help promote growth and greater spiritual awareness. If you have any questions prior to your session, please give us a call at 438-788-7796. We look forward to accompanying you on your journey.

reiki courses montreal

Reiki Courses Montreal

Reiki Courses Montreal

If you are considering taking Reiki courses in Montreal, it is a good idea to reflect on your motivation for doing so. Also, you should consider the many advantages of taking in-person rather than online courses.  Today, many Reiki masters offer Reiki courses online. It is true that these courses and attunements can be of high quality and very effective. However, there is no denying the advantages of taking in-person Reiki courses in Montreal.

First, you get to meet your Reiki master in person. This will give you the opportunity to talk to him or her in person and find out if your energies resonate. You can ask questions, and find out about your potential teacher’s approach to working with clients, as well as their views on spirituality, energy work, or anything else you are curious about.

In addition to this, a good Reiki master will help reflect on your own intentions for embarking on a Reiki journey. For example, are you motivated to help yourself and friends and family members, or are you looking to start a professional practice? Do you primarily want to working with clients in person, or  do you also want to work remotely. Will Reiki be a hobby, a side job, or are your ready to dedicate your life to Reiki? What changes in yourself are you expecting to make as you continue on your spiritual journey in Reiki?

Second, your Reiki master will offer many opportunities to connect with the community. They may offer Reiki Meetups, Reiki shares, or community days, where neighbors can stop by and experience Reiki either for free or at a reduced price.

Third, as you incorporate Reiki energy into your life, you can share your experiences with your Reiki master.  They can offer their assistance all along your journey. Your relationship with your Reiki master should go far beyond the hours you spend in class. It should be a relationship that lasts a lifetime.

What Is Included In Reiki Level 1 Courses?

Of course, the attunement is the most important part of your Reiki courses. When the Reiki master performs your attunement, it will lift the veil, so to speak, between you and the Reiki energy. The attunements will clear away the lower level vibrations that have been standing between you and your connection to the Reiki energy. Once this is done, you will become a conduit for this energy for the rest of your life. The energy will never stop flowing. While the attunement will be the most important part of your Reiki courses, it will not be all that will happen. You will begin to learn the skills necessary to be a healer. Some of these skills include:

  • The history of Reiki
  • The basic Reiki hand positions
  • The fundamentals of the muscular system.
  • The basics of the endocrine system
  • The chakras
  • The meridians
  • Giving yourself Reiki treatments
  • The Reiki principles, which provide the foundation for Reiki as a spiritual system.

You will also benefit from the many years of practice of your Reiki master, and from the experiences of your classmates. Reiki I is the starting point on your Reiki journey, and it is all you need if you want to perform Reiki in person on yourself and others, as well as on plants, animals, objects etc.

What Is Included In Reiki Level 2 Courses?

When you take a Reiki Level 2 course, you will deepen your understanding of Reiki. In addition, you will have even more opportunities to practice Reiki treatments and grow in the Reiki energy. Remember that the best way to learn Reiki is to practice it.

You will also review what you learned in Level 1, such as the the Reiki principles and the chakras. During Level 2 training, you will also learn and become attuned to the 3 Level 2 symbols. These symbols, that were discovered by Dr. Usui, will allow you to strengthen the Reiki energy when you work with them. Just like all other Reiki attunements, once you are attuned to the symbols, you remain attuned to them for life. After the Level 2 course, and the more you work with Reiki, the more you will discover how to use the symbols when working on clients, and on your own life.

More specifically, the symbols that you will learn during Reiki Level 2 will help you:

  • Bring resolutions to long-standing issues
  • Raise the energy of the food and drinks you are consuming
  • Raise the vibration of anything in or around your home
  • Diffuse tense situations
  • Provide protection in any number of situations
  • Improve your creativity and mental agility
  • Improve your memory
  • Ease addictions
  • Resolve interpersonal issues
  • Send Reiki over distances
  • Heal past or future issues
  • Help use Reiki to manifest your goals

During during your Reiki Level 2 course, you will also learn some helpful meditation techniques to help you breathe correctly, develop a sense of inner peace, and channel Reiki with the highest intentions. In addition, you will receive tips on setting up your Reiki treatment room and starting a Reiki practice.

What Is Included In Reiki Level 3 (Reiki Master) Training?

Students typically undertook Reiki Level 3, or Reiki Master training when they felt ready to dedicate their lives to Reiki. This big step may or may not be one that you would like to take. Either way, it is important that you meditate on your intentions for taking Reiki Master courses. If you feel called to do so, then you can consider yourself ready.

Here is a summary of what is included in Reiki Level 3 or Master training:

  • The master symbol
  • Appropriate use of the master symbol
  • The Reiki master attunement
  • How to attune others to Reiki
  • How to perform distance attunements
  • Some more advanced Reiki practices
  • Time to practice

Conclusion

Remember that even after you complete your Reiki Master course, your learning in Reiki will continue. In fact, your Reiki courses are only the beginning. You will continue to see clients, to work on yourself on a regular basis, and to give Reiki to friends and loved ones. The same holds true after Reiki Master training that held true after Level 1, the more your practice Reiki the more skillful you will become and the more you will continue to grow in the energy. Your Reiki master should be available for you if you have any questions along the way. If you do have questions, please do not hesitate to reach out!
